Was I right or what? December 30th came and went and no word from Darcy Hurley. December 30th was the 2nd date he was supposed to be released from prison by the court; something that is apparently off record. I know that rather than off record, it’s just fabricated. This was the case on August 1 and now again December 30th. If he got out, he should have called me as he said he was going to do. I wonder what the excuse will be this time? I can’t wait to find out. I will wait a week or two and then drop him a line to see if he bites again. Then he will have a hard time explaining away his 2nd attempt to extract money from me. I can hear it now: “The judge changed his mind again” or “I stayed in because I didn’t have any money”.

Very interesting blog. I’m from Italy, I started to write to inmates in USA a few months ago. For the moment is a frustrating experience, because the inmates in general are interested in money, not in friendship. May be I’m unlucky, but I started to think that the “inmate penpal website stuff” is nearly to became merely a business. A pity.
