I received a new letter yesterday from Darcy Hurley which somehow did not surprise me. I still have no intention of answering his 10/26 letter and I probably won’t answer this one either. As I expected, it was a short letter full of fluff. There was nothing in there showing me the real Darcy Hurley. Of course he once again asked for travel money. He tells me he got $90 for the television set he bought with my money but that won’t be enough. Oh dear, well he better make it last because there won’t be any more!
And he tells me he has had trouble getting a hold of me via the phone. A few weeks ago, I canceled my account with the Correctional Billing system after I found an option to do that and get a refund. So I suspect he can’t call due to that reason. Oh yeah, and he says he hasn’t heard from me. He blames that on the prison system for losing a piece of mail. No Darcy Dale Hurley, no mail has been lost; I just haven’t answered!
Now on his parole update: there is an update on his prison record (linked on the side bar). It just shows under Parole Classification that there was some action on 12/4/08. But the key thing there is an entry for next year. The next review date is 12/4/2009. Now how about that? If he is getting out on 12/30/08, the parole people apparently don’t know about it. Still smells like a scam to me.
